Jack-Jack’s Powers Take Center Stage in the First ‘Incredibles 2’ Teaser Trailer (New Poster, Plot Summary & Screenshot)

Starting just minutes after the first Incredibles film, the first teaser trailer for Incredibles 2 centers around Jack-Jack and his developing powers

The first teaser for Incredibles 2 has just been released and it feels incredible to see footage (however brief) of our favorite superhero family.

With the primary focus set on little Jack-Jack and his newly discovered powers, John Lasseter revealed back in July, that Incredibles 2 will take place just minutes after the first film left off, “It starts with the Underminer and a big old set piece. You know that at the end of the first movie when he comes up, and you see the family dressed as superheroes, well that’s where start this movie.”

The short 55-second teaser has definitely elevated our excitement to revisit the Parr family and Metroville once again. We cannot get enough of Jack-Jack’s giggle and belly laugh towards the end of the teaser — it is so adorable and hilarious to see Mr. Incredible’s look to the camera (breaking the fourth wall) as you can see in his eyes that he’s excited and a little anxious about what he’s about to face with Jack-Jack.

Along with the teaser, Pixar released the official poster along with an additional plot tagline for the film (shown below). Side Note – the official release from Pixar also puts a final cap on the fact that the “the” from the first film has gone away and this will be titled Incredibles 2, not The Incredibles 2.

In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home when a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot that only the Incredibles can overcome together. In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Updated: Butch Hartman posted (on Twitter) a great comparison photo from The Incredibles and the new Incredibles 2 teaser showing the differences in a similar scene between the 2004-released film and the new teaser from 2017. We can’t wait to see more of the details pop in the new film. You can really see a difference in their eyes (they look much more plastic before) and the hair (Bob actually looks younger due to his fuller hair).
