‘Cars 3’ and ‘Incredibles 2’ Slated For 2018 and 2019 Release Dates?

UPDATED: – Official release dates have been announced for projects through 2019, more details are in this post.

Earlier this week, on May 27 and 28, the 2015 Sao Paulo Disney Expo took place, and among the news spotted by our friends at Pixar Brasil Blog, was a graphic highlighting the 2018 and 2019 release dates of Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2.

Although the films were announced over a year ago, Brad Bird has only recently stated that he has begun work on the script to the follow up to the fan-favorite, The Incredibles. Our initial feelings would be that The Incredibles 2 would release closer to 2020 or 2021 and that Cars 3 would fall around 2019, but the news at the Expo certainly put a little more focus on the intentions of Pixar’s release schedule.

Keep in mind that these plans may change as the forecast can shift as projects develop into the films they will become. Nonetheless, it’s always exciting to see these films with projected dates assigned. The only film previously mentioned that doesn’t appear on the slate is Lee Unkrich’s untitled film regarding the Dia de los Muertos holiday.
