June 16 is shaping up to be a great day for Inside Out. In addition to the recently announced special advanced screening of the film taking place across hundreds of movie theaters, Amazon has now added a release date for the film’s soundtrack (also June 16). As of now, an official cover for the soundtrack or an individual tracklisting has not been revealed, but we’ll be sure to update this information as it becomes available.

No, I would absolutely expect that it will be released digitally on June 16 for sure. I only expect the CD to be a limited release and most likely will have to be ordered online as most stores probably won't even stock it.
Does that mean we will not be able to purchase it over iTunes immediately?
It sounds like this will be a physical release, but it makes me wonder if it will be a limited release like the Monsters University soundtrack was.
Any news on whether this will be an official CD or just an iTunes/ Amazon mp3 release? I've been collecting hard copies of Pixar soundtracks but they rarely make new ones anymore….
