Tonight Hollywood Boulevard shut down for the world premiere of Monsters University and The Blue Umbrella. The Boulevard’s typically grey pavement morphed into “MU blue” as it was time for the most anticipated Pep Rally of the year – the monsters were about to take over the El Capitan Theatre.
Many of the Monsters University cast and crew, special guests, and “monsters” were treated to a themed Tailgate party – complete with an ESPN-like set with MU and Fear Tech football helmets present.
When the tailgating was over, it was time to head into the theater. Pixar had a few more surprises in store for the El Capitan Theatre guests – here is a photo that was tweeted by Mike Wazowski himself – also known as, Billy Crystal.
