After John Goodman’s helped unveil the new Monsters University toys at the New York Toy Fair yesterday, he jumped over the famed studio 6B at 30 Rockefeller Center to tape an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. After the release of the toys from the Toy Fair and the brand new full-length trailer, you wouldn’t think we’d get any more Monsters University footage in one day, would you? Well, we’re in luck, John brought along a new clip (UPDATED: Link removed, no longer active) showcasing Mike and Sulley getting introduced for the first time…and another introduction to Archie the Scare Pig. The clip starts at 2:04 and is totally worth the wait.
Hidden Item
It’s also interesting to notice the poster on the wall above Mike – it says, Winds of Change. If you remember, in Monsters, Inc., Randall Boggs says to Mike, “Shh, shh, shh…do you hear that? It’s the winds of change“. Randall says this to Mike at 11:30 into the movie in case you want to check it out. I’m assuming, much like other Pixar movies, that this will have a lot of hidden items as well. And as an anonymous reader of our site pointed out – does this mean that Randall and Mike are roommates? After all, Mike does ask Sulley to leave the room so he can study. In addition, the bed is a purple color with a Louis Vuitton look. We’re guessing Randall is a straight-laced monster that comes from a family with a lot of money. Hmmmm!

At 2:14 you can see under the purple bed and there are Randall slippers.
We bet you're right! That would make total sense with the purple (scale-like) bed spread and the poster above the bed.
