UPDATE: December 18, 2012 – Julie has made a movie-accurate version of PartySaurus Rex which has found its way into Pixar Animation Studios!
Long-time Pixarian Mark Walsh makes his directorial debut in the new Toy Story Toon, Partysaurus Rex and from the looks of the still images and the short clip online I can’t help but be filled with excitement and anticipation.
Rex is one of my favorite Pixar characters and I instantly knew that I wanted a Partysaurus Rex toy. Because I wanted a true-scale size, Partysaurus Rex, I purchased one of the best Rex toys around (from Thinkway Toys). Then I had to master my creativity and make numerous trips to craft stores to complete the finishing touches – using modeling clay, watercolor paint, numerous beads, string, and wiring.
