As we get closer and closer to the release of Pixar's latest flick, it's certain that there will be many more articles and reviews coming out. That being said, this article from Entertainment Weekly introduces us (with beautiful artwork) to nine of the characters who will soon be captivating us in Brave.
In case you don't have time to read the whole article, it sums up like this...Merida is a young princess who's bucking the trends of the past by ignoring tradition. Her parents, King Fergus and Queen Elinor are typical of movies - the Father is a bit of a restless, high-tempered spirit and her Mother is the calm and rational one. I guess this isn't too far from real life!
The three Fathers who are trying to show off their first-born Sons to Merida are Lord Macintosh (this has to be a nod to Apple), Lord MacGuffin and Lord Dingwall (fitting name for his look). Rounding out the artwork are the three trouble-making triplets - Hamish, Hubert and Harris. I've heard on a few occasions now that they're absolutely hilarious and that they are great comic relief. One interesting fact about these characters is that they don't talk, they just laugh and cause mischief.
It's funny, when this project was kicked off I wasn't excited at all but as we inch closer to a release date my excitement continues to grow more and more. Officially, Julie and I now can't wait for June 22. How are you feeling about Pixar's latest release - excited or not?
