In the official post from Sean Patton, senior producer for Disney Infinity mobile noted that,
We’ve packed the Disney Infinity: Toy Box 3.0 app with many of the most popular new areas of the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Toy Box mode, including the Toy Box Hub, the El Capitan community center and farming simulation. Also, we were sure to include all of the popular existing Toy Box features, such as Toy Box sharing, networked multiplayer, INteriors and of course, players can unlock toys and Power Discs in new Daily Challenge mini-adventures.
As with prior digital releases, all characters can be unlocked via the web code card which comes included with all figures and play sets. If you don't already own a character, all will be available for purchase within the app (1.0, 2.0 and 3.0) along with the previously mentioned Speedway Expansion game. If you want to give a player a try before you buy them, three figures will be available each week to play with - the perfect way to give a player a trial run.
All toy box levels created within the Toy Box can be shared back and forth with console versions of the game for easy sharing and creation. As an interesting fact, Patton notes that, "Mobile players upload and download more Disney Infinity Toy Boxes through mobile devices and tablets than on any other platform".
Download the Disney Infinity app for free from the Apple App Store, Google Play or Amazon App Store.
It should also be noted that the next Star Wars play set, Rise Against The Empire (bundled with Luke and Leia figures) is set to release on September 29 and it looks like it will be just as fantastic as Twilight of The Republic. Along with the play set, an additional group of characters (and Power Disc pack) will also be released — Chewbacca, Han Solo and Darth Vader.
