With the 2013 D23 Expo kicking off today, we can expect to see a plethora of upcoming film news, concept art and amazing merchandise popping up over course of the three-day event. Although the first Expo presentation led by Pixar Chief Creative Officer, John Lasseter, isn't scheduled to get started for a few more hours, John recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the Expo and said, "Fasten your seat belts, you’re going to love what we have down there". In the interview, John highlighted some of the great Pixar and Disney Animation news we can expect to hear at the Expo, but the highlight of the interview is a sneak peek at a new piece of concept art from Pixar's 2014 release, The Good Dinosaur.
At the D23 Expo kickoff event (Art and Imagination) starting today at 10:00 AM PST, John is slated to chat about Pixar and Disney's upcoming slate of films. During the presentation, a quick look at The Good Dinosaur is scheduled (not sure on the length of the preview yet), but in the EW interview, we also have learned that John will also discuss two of Pixar's other known releases - Finding Dory and Inside Out.
We're not sure how much Finding Dory or Inside Out news will be revealed - but we can keep our fingers crossed that we'll get to see some new concept artwork. Now, we only have to wait a few hours more.
