On Monday May 21, 2012 the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will hold the 18th Marc Davis Celebration of Animation - The Development of the Digital Animator. This event held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, CA and is only $5.00 a person - $3.00 for Academy Members or students.
There are ten panelists listed on the Academy's site - a few of them being, Academy Award winning Phil Tippett (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Jurassic Park) as well as the AMAZING Academy Award winning John Lasseter - who's credits are legendary.
I know if we lived in the Southern California area we'd be sure to jump at this opportunity to hear from these great animating minds, especially Mr. John Lasseter.
